Guy Davis & Eric BibbBlues TroubadoursGuy Davis and Eric Bibb are two blues and gospel experts, each with his own distinctive voice and style. In a soulful, vigorous, and fascinating evening that explores traditional American blues music, they will perform their own sets collaborate on several numbers, and come together for a rousing joint finale. New York-born Davis, the son of actors Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, has performed on Prairie Home Companies, Mountain Stage, Live from the World Café and Conan O’Brien. A voice like Howlin Wolf dipped in honey,” exclaims The Scotsman Newspaper. Bibb is a child of the 1960s folk scene and grew up within a circle that included Odetta, Pete Seeger, and his god father Paul Roberson. Bibbs rootsy acoustic music “crosses and blends the genres of blues, folk, and gospel.” (Sacramento Press) This engagement of Guy Davis is funded through Mid Atlantic Tours program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Delaware Division of the Arts.
