Featuring favorite songs “Try to Remember,” “Much More” and “They were You,” the longest running musical of all time is being brought home to the Milburn Stone Theatre. On a magical night, orchestrated by the mysterious narrator/puppet master El Gallo, Matt and Luisa fall in love despite “feuding” fathers and a great wall between them. Matt rescues Luisa from bandits (El Gallo again, along with a couple of aged actors); the wall comes down; and all are happy and full of love. But “despite what pretty poets say, the night is only half the day.” Fathers must live without the wall, and after the magical night, the sun rises and shows everyone who they truly are in its harsh light.
